Bing Zi or Fire Rat rules the month from December 6 till January 5th! The Rat is the cardinal of the water animals of the water season life cycle. It contains the very ‘pure’- and only water element as (main) Qi.
A life cycle, is a course of events that brings a new product into existence (Pig month), and follows its growth into a mature product (Rat month), to eventually decline (Ox month).
If Bing Zi is your day pillar, you will reflect on yourself this month, it’s like taking a look in the mirror. Do you like what you see? Then you have a great month, as you can rest the body and mind, and enjoy the holiday season and indulge in yourself.
What to expect in Bing Zi or Fire Rat month?
The image of an eclipse reflects this month. Things are not very clear and might create some discomfort like confusion. This month is related to entertainment, especially at night, slightly scandalous things that are not always supposed to be seen, like rave parties, full moon parties, alcohol, drugs, sex. Probably, we see more scandals being uncovered during December and some confusion coming up. Let’s see what is happening in the world of politics this month.
For those with Dragons and/or Monkey in their charts, the Rat month combines to a water frame highlighting communication, networking and people in your life.
Rat month and people with Ox in their charts, enhance the earth element. Have a look what this element means to you! That is, what will be yours.

Hexagram 45 Gathering - Action: increased social networking. This hexagram shows interdependency and people coming together because of a shared ideal and like minded networking. People with a common interest become a strong voice.
The outcome of sitting here: good for assuming a new job position, negotiations and closing business deals, operating a new business, major important activities, pacifying someone angry, putting the right person in the right position. It is suitable for collecting data, information and knowledge to fulfil plans and strategies and it helps to make fruitful connections with important people, key personnel and decision makers. Channels will be open and smooth communication provided. Successful for wealth creating projects, in fact, all wealth related goals. Helps you to find the post or platform to fulfil your aspirations.
South: Direction for attention, respect, honour and whatever you say, will be seen as important, even to the point that you put fear upon others, if you want it or not. This is a direction where speakers, coaches, lawyers or teachers take advantage. Everything will be executed with good intentions and in harmony.
Hexagram 10 - Thread - Action: cautious advance: with spirituality, it is how we begin, to open to the way life guides us, and therefore, our footsteps become more cautious and self reflective.
The result of being in this direction: Particularly good for catching criminals and fighting against illegal acts. Suitable for burial, trading, marriage, moving into a new hose, expanding a business, going for a long business journey, sending sales team, making calls. Anything can be accomplished, negatives turn into fortune.
North West: Here you have protection from our Chief Deity, the CEO of the company (of deities). So this is your management position this month. From here, you manage everything with ease and a great heart, for the common good! This direction comes with tearing things down and building new things up. Being the life palace, it results in success, wealth and achievement (especially with Chief Deity).
Hexagram 62 Lesser Exceeding - Action: conserve: If you are able to keep a low profile and stick to simplicity you will succeed.
The result of being in this direction: successful in all undergoings related to wealth and profits increase in business activities, progression in a career and turning enemies into supporters as well as help from noble people. It can turn negative happenings into opportunities.
